Paths to Greater Calm, Clarity, and Self-Confidence
About me
I have been working with people in therapy and coaching for many years.
My time as a college professor and my many years of experience in bodywork have also shaped me.
In my work, I integrate the body, emotions, and unconscious processes to better understand problems and anchor change more deeply and sustainably.
Ich arbeite seit vielen Jahren therapeutisch und im Coaching mit Menschen.
Based at my practice in Cologne-Ehrenfeld. Depending on your needs, I also offer structured short-term therapy. Learn more about me and my qualifications.
How I work as a therapist
Because talking helps—gut often it's not enough
Grasp - embody - evolve
Often, mere talking and thinking don’t solve our problems. Smoking is unhealthy—but knowing this alone doesn’t end an addiction. The same is true for many other issues that people bring to me. Change becomes possible when new experiences resonate emotionally and are felt in the body.
My therapeutic toolkit
Systemic work with inner parts
Helps you better understand needs, fears, and defense mechanisms, release blockages, and develop a healthier relationship with yourself.
Body-oriented psychotherapy—Integral Somatic Psycholog
Incorporates the body to access emotions, process them, and deeply anchor change.
Hypnosis
Helps regulate the nervous system, strengthen resources, process stress, and anchor new experiences and behavioral patterns.
EMDR
Helps process traumatic experiences and change ingrained patterns of fear, stress, and reaction.
How does therapy work?
Initial Consultation
During the initial consultation, we get to know each other. You describe your situation, I explain how I would support you, and provide initial therapeutic guidance.
Asessment
You’ll receive initial guidance and an assessment of how to proceed.
Beginning therapy
We’ll agree on the next steps as soon as possible. A treatment plan is then developed based on a more detailed intake interview
How long does therapy last?
This varies from person to person. Most people experience significant relief after just a few sessions. Long-term support may be needed to achieve lasting change.
After an intensive initial phase, the intervals between sessions may become longer.
What ist short term therapy?
The goal here is for you to gain more clarity and stability in 5–7 sessions. Hypnosis, EMDR, and body-oriented therapy are particularly well-suited for this—including the Structured Short-Term Hypnotherapy in 5 sessions developed by Christian Schwegler.
How much does therapy cost
My fee is €120 for a 60-minute session.

Do you offer free consultation?

How long should therapy last to be effective?
Some clients experience greater clarity and relief after just a few sessions, while others benefit from longer-term support. Following an intensive initial phase, sessions can also be spaced further apart to allow time for integrating and grounding what has been learned into your daily life.
Is therapy at your practice covered by public health insurance?
As a Heilpraktiker für Psychotherapie (licensed practitioner of psychotherapy), my services are offered on a private-pay basis, meaning you cover the costs yourself. If you have private health insurance, please check with your provider to see if they partially cover expenses for a sectoral Heilpraktiker für Psychotherapie.
As a self-paying client, you enjoy several key benefits: complete freedom from insurance regulations, more flexible scheduling, and absolute confidentiality.
What issues do you commonly address in your practice?
I primarily treat trauma-related disorders, relationship difficulties, stress, burnout, and exhaustion. Additionally, I support clients dealing with anxiety, mild to moderate depression, inner restlessness, and sleep disturbances, as well as psychosomatic or stress-related conditions such as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).
